Digital Video Recorders

Digital Video Recorders provide the ultimate in ease of use.  These systems record to hard drives (40GB-640+ GB) providing anywhere from one week to several months worth of recording - eliminating the need for VCR or VCR tapes.

These systems provide ease to use search functions for reviewing the recordings.  The video pictures can be saved as standard picture files or industry standard video clips and e-mailed.  These units can be installed on the company network and viewed from any workstation with the use of the supplied viewing software.

At PPSS, we utilize three different DVRs:   Dedicated Micros, Integral Technologies, and  Sony's  hybrid option.

The Dedicated Micros Sprite series is a powerful, cost effective, feature rich unit that is available in 4,9, or 16 channels and can be expanded by networking additional Digital Sprite Units together to accommodate hundreds of cameras.  This unit can be connected to the company network and viewed remotely with the free, unlimited license viewing software.

Integral Technologies First Line system is a powerful PC based unit expandable from 4 to 32 cameras.  This system currently provides up to 640 GB of storage space, allowing up to several months of recording depending on actual system settings.  The unit can be connected to the company network and viewed remotely with the free, unlimited license viewing software.

Sony's HSR hybrid digital recorder records on a built-in hard drive and archives to a digital tape.  This tape can store huge amounts of video information, allowing the end-user to archive this information as long as desired.  This unit replaces the traditional multiplexer and VCR - with a single large capacity digital unit.  This unit can be expanded to accommodate up to 16 cameras.
