System Overview
Intrusion
alarm systems are designed to detect unauthorized persons. These
systems utilize detectors and sensors to detect an intruders presence.
Some of the more commonly utilized detectors are door contacts, infrared
detectors, infrared / microwave detectors, photoelectric beams, and
glassbreak detectors.
These
detectors are connected to a control panel that when activated senses the
status of the detector and reports any violations to a Control Center for
police or security dispatch, and Responsible Party notification.
These
systems are typically activated and deactivated through the use of a
keypad and an authorized code (PIN). Some system are activated and
deactivated based on a programmed time schedule, and yet others are done
based on a relay trigger.
